This film is a claymation animated feature created by Nick Park and Peter Lord, the creators of the popular "Wallace and Gromit". "Chicken Run" tells the story of a group of chickens living in POW like farm conditions who endeavor to make an escape before being turned into chicken pies. While the tone is light and entertaining for the whole family, it also factory farming from the chickens' point of view, which is probably the first time conditions like this have been exposed in the mainstream media. This film won the Ark Trust's prestigious 2001 Genesis Award for best feature film.
